Mary
& Tony have been married for 33 years. They have one son, Mike. Mary worked for
General Motors Corporation for 34 years as a show coordinator retiring in 2000
to travel. Tony was the Financial Officer of a non-profit Civil Rights
Corporation for 30 years, retiring in 2000. Mary & Tony belong to the Elkhart
Indiana Chapter of the Red Cross and are DSHR members. "Our first DSHR
assignment for the DOVES in STF & ODM function was Hurricane Ivan. What a
blessing it is to be able to help. We love to bike and hike and volunteer for
Habitat for Humanity as Care-A-Vanners and we are planning a return trip to
Alaska in 2006.

and Candalyn Fryrear - Louisville,
Kentucky. Retired. Jeff was ordained in 2006. Hope to go full-time as soon as
the house sells. Love working with the DOVES. Would like to do more Christian
service projects. We like to be useful, but don't want to wait until a disaster.

Dean and I were in New Orleans serving Katrina out of our
ERV's. We were there several months.

Bill and Barb have been married forty-five years and have been retired seven. We are members of the Elkhart, Indiana Chapter. We are also DSHR members. We volunteered for Katrina and were Client Caseworkers in Las Vegas, NV. when they set up Shelter Ops nationally. We volunteered this summer at our home chapter and finally got to see the faces behind the names. What a great attribute these employees are to the American Red Cross National. We also served on a DAT team as "snow-birds" in Palm Springs, California. What a blessing it is to be able and healthy enough to help others.
